Myself with rescued lamb Asher
Alongside my work at Haven Holistic Wellbeing, I also run Kodhi Sanctuary—a not-for-profit rescue that offers a safe haven for neglected, abused, and abandoned animals. This sanctuary, created with my beautiful mum, Heather, is a space of deep healing—for animals and humans alike. Mum was the bravest and kindest person I’ve ever known. She navigated many challenges with immense grace, and Kodhi became her sanctuary too—a place of peace, growth, and love. Her legacy continues to guide everything we do.
After Mum’s passing in 2023, I came to know the raw depths of grief. The animals held space for me in a way only they can—with presence, wisdom, and quiet understanding. That experience deepened my calling.
As an empath, helping animals and people heal and live their best lives is not just my passion—it’s what honours who I am. It allows me to live in alignment with my values of compassion, connection, and care for all living beings.
At Haven Holistic Wellbeing, sessions and workshops are held within the sacred grounds of Kodhi Sanctuary, where nature and animals surround us in support. It's a place where everyone—human or animal—is seen, heard, and respected. A place where healing unfolds naturally, gently, and with love.
about me
Welcome to Haven Holistic Wellbeing, where I bring together my deep love for animals and nature with a heartfelt passion for supporting people on their journey back to themselves.
My name is Kylie, and for over 25 years I have run a boutique architectural practice specialising in environmentally responsible and sustainable architecture—an area I remain deeply passionate about. However, my heart has always been drawn to a different kind of healing—one centred on connection: with ourselves, with each other, and with the natural world.
Having endured deeply toxic and abusive relationships, I know firsthand the courage it takes to begin healing. Surviving those experiences led me on a path of deep self-reflection, embodied self-discovery, and ongoing inner work.. This personal journey now profoundly informs and inspires my work—supporting people, with a primary focus on women and adolescents, through Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), grounded in self-regulation, healthy boundaries, safe relationships, mindfulness, and self-awareness practices
I'm an accredited Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner through the Equine Psychotherapy Institute, and I’m currently studying counselling through the Australian Institute for Professional Counsellors (AIPC). My approach is holistic, drawing on both lived experience and professional training to support others in meaningful, grounded ways.
